National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live.
National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.
Millions of neighbors take part in National Night Out across thousands of communities from all fifty states, U.S. territories and military bases worldwide on the first Tuesday in August each year.
Here in American Canyon the City, Police, and Fire celebrate as well by visiting the various block parties held throughout our community between 5-8 PM with some presents for the participants.
There are 12 block parties scheduled in American Canyon. The parties are hosted by residents of the community and take place in neighborhood common areas, parks, on street blocks and courts.
For privacy reasons, not all block parties are published by the City. Block party hosts are encouraged to share their party details on Nextdoor.com so their nearby neighbors can join in. Residents should check Nextdoor.com in addition to the list below to find the party nearest to them.
